It is microscopic, looks like a jellyfish and lives where no other animal can survive.
In 2010 a research team discovered an animal at the bottom of the Mediterranean in one of the most extreme environments. Also they were able to get evidence that it needs no oxygen. Not one of the other million species of animals can do this. It took ten years though to declare this. The tiny Mediterranean animals belong to a group called the loriciferans – an animal group so unusual that it was not discovered until the 1980s. This animal is one of the biggest discoveries in our age.
It also looks like some books need to change their info, since they are not informed about it.
